Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the fields of product development, machinery, or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar), with proficiency in 3D modeling and design.
- Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
- Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).
Beneficial requirements: - Demonstrated experience with engineering analysis tools (such as FEA or CFD software) for simulating performance, reliability, and durability.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes, with an understanding of compliance requirements in the Netherlands.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and develop innovative solutions.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and oversee mechanical systems and components for new products and projects, ensuring they meet performance and quality standards.
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including stress analysis, thermal dynamics, fluid mechanics, and other aspects of mechanical engineering.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, coordinating with departments such as electrical, software, and manufacturing to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, models, and drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Identify areas for improvement in current processes and designs, suggesting modifications to enhance efficiency, durability, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with their needs and expectations.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide junior engineers and team members to promote continuous learning and technical skill development.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to current projects.
