Compliance & Certification Administrator
Location: Kent/London Border (office based)
Salary: Up to £40,000 + benefits
Contract: Permanent, full time
Love a well-kept register, a tidy audit trail and knowing that every document is exactly right?
I’m working with a well-established manufacturer of specialist engineered building products. Their products are sold on the strength of independent testing and certification, so the records behind them really matter. They’re now looking for a Compliance & Certification Administrator to own those records and keep everything audit-ready.
You don’t need a certification background. If you come from administration, document control, quality or compliance and you’re meticulous about detail, they’ll train you on the technical side.
What you’ll be doing
-
Maintaining the certification evidence register: test reports, assessments and certificates, with scopes, revisions and expiry dates
-
Keeping the certified scope list current so sales, estimating and production all work from the same information
-
Collecting and renewing supplier certificates for components
-
Controlling documents so only current versions are in use
-
Booking tests with accredited laboratories, tracking the test programme and filing reports
-
Preparing test packs and evidence for certification audits and inspections, and chasing actions until closed
-
Checking orders against certified scope before labels are issued
-
Responding to customer and specifier requests for certificates and evidence packs, and keeping a log of what goes out
-
Producing a short weekly report on tests, results, expiring certificates and open actions
What you’ll bring
-
2+ years in administration, document control, compliance or quality, ideally within manufacturing, construction products or a testing/certification body
-
Confident Excel skills (filters, lookups, simple formulas) and comfortable with Word and shared document systems
-
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths at grade 4/C or above
-
Highly organised and accurate, with the persistence to follow things through to the end
-
Clear, professional written communication
Any knowledge of product certification schemes, ISO 9001 or factory production control audits, the Building Safety Act or reading technical drawings would be a bonus, but full training is provided.
Why apply?
-
A role that genuinely matters, where accuracy really counts
-
Full training in specialist certification schemes and standards
-
A clear development path into compliance and technical work
-
A supportive, established business working closely with engineering and production
If you’re the person colleagues come to when they need to find the right document, this could be the role for you. Apply today with your CV.
