Speech and Language Therapist - Post-16 & Secondary
Up to 34 per hour
Location: Epsom and Cheam, South London
Contract: Locum at first, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role
Working pattern: 5 days per week
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join an established education team on a maternity leave cover basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work across Post-16 and secondary education, supporting young people with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) and helping them achieve positive outcomes in their education and everyday lives.
The role is offered on a locum basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities - Speech and Language Therapist
Assess and support young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs.
Deliver appropriate therapy and intervention to support communication, learning and participation.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, educational professionals and other relevant stakeholders.
Provide advice, strategies and recommendations to support communication needs within educational settings.
Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised support plans.
Monitor progress and adapt interventions to meet the changing needs of students.
Working Pattern & Locations
4 days per week - Post-16 team: Primarily based at NESCOT College in Epsom.
1 day per week - Secondary: Supporting students at Cheam High School.
Contract Details
Maternity leave cover.
Locum position, with the potential to become permanent.
Full-time working pattern of 5 days per week.
Permanent transition subject to agreement, with a 12-week notice period through the recruitment agency
