Job Title: Medical Secretary
Location: Covercroft, Droitwich Spa, WR9 8QU
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 16:30
Pay and duration: £14.06 per hour, 12 weeks with possible extension
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Medical Secretary to join a busy healthcare team in Droitwich Spa on a full-time temporary basis, with the potential for the position to be extended.
What you'll be doing

Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to medical staff.

Supporting medics with the management of their caseloads.

Using Microsoft Word and Excel confidently for day-to-day administrative tasks.

Operating dictation systems and producing accurate correspondence.

Handling telephone calls professionally and efficiently.

Maintaining effective communication with colleagues, patients and other professionals.

Managing administrative tasks accurately while working to deadlines.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
What we're looking for

Previous medical secretarial experience.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience using dictation systems.

Experience supporting medical professionals with caseload management.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

A confident and professional telephone manner.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

The ability to work effectively in a busy healthcare environment.
