Job Title: Receptionist
Location: CAMHS Worcestershire – Kidderminster Health Centre, DY10 1PG
Hours: part time, 22.5 hours per week, within Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 17:30
Pay and duration: £12.71 per hour, 3 months with possible extension
We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Receptionist to join the CAMHS Worcestershire team at Kidderminster Health Centre.
As the first point of contact for patients, families, visitors and colleagues, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. You’ll provide an efficient reception and administrative service while handling information with care, sensitivity and confidentiality.
What you'll be doing

Welcoming and supporting patients, families, visitors and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.

Providing excellent customer service and responding appropriately to enquiries.

Carrying out reception and general administrative duties.

Accurately inputting and updating information using appropriate systems.

Supporting day-to-day clerical and office procedures.
-
Using Microsoft Office applications and other IT systems as required.

Maintaining confidentiality and handling information in accordance with the Data Protection Act and NHS Code of Confidentiality.

Promoting a positive and respectful environment by role-modelling good behaviour and appropriately challenging poor behaviour when necessary.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is professional, approachable and confident communicating with a wide range of people.
You'll need:

Previous experience in reception, customer service, administration or a similar people-facing role.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A friendly, calm and professional manner.

Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

The ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and discretion.

Confidence speaking with patients, visitors and colleagues.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A reliable and flexible approach to work.
Previous healthcare or NHS experience would be beneficial, but strong transferable experience from customer service, hospitality, retail, reception or administration will also be considered.
You'll also need either a vocational Level 3 qualification or at least 2 years' relevant experience.
