An established construction contractor in Corby is looking for a Junior Document Controller to join its Design Management team. Previous document control experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
You will learn how to manage drawings, technical documents and project information across live construction projects, while working alongside experienced Design Managers and project teams.
The position would suit someone with construction administration experience, strong attention to detail and an interest in developing a long-term career in document control.
The Role
You will help control and distribute project drawings, technical documents and correspondence, making sure information is accurate, current and easy for project teams to access.
Working with Design Managers, site teams, commercial teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients, you will keep document registers and project records organised across several live schemes.
Responsibilities

Upload, issue and track construction drawings and technical documents

Maintain document registers, trackers and electronic filing systems

Monitor drawing revisions and keep project records up to date

Issue project correspondence and technical information

Support Design Managers and project teams with document control

Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams

Prepare reports using Excel and internal document management systems

Archive project documents in line with company procedures

Provide general construction administration support when needed
Skills & Experience Required

Experience in construction administration, site administration, project administration or a similar role

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook

Accurate, organised and comfortable managing several priorities

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Confident working with different project teams and external contacts

Willing to learn new systems and document control processes

Interested in construction drawings, technical information and design management
