Based in Leicester, you’ll work across occupied social housing properties carrying out full wetroom installations, disabled adaptations and larger disrepair works.
This is a stable permanent opportunity for an experienced Wetroom Fitter with strong multi-trade skills, particularly in AKW wetroom systems and disabled adaptations. You’ll work across Leicester and surrounding areas, with ongoing training and opportunities for progression available.
I’d love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as a Wetroom Fitter, Multi-Trade Operative, Multi Skilled Operative or Maintenance Operative, particularly those with social housing experience and a background in wetroom fitting.
As a Wetroom Fitter, you will be:
Completing full AKW wetroom installations and disabled adaptations within occupied social housing properties.
Carrying out wetroom fitting, including breaking out existing floors, modifying joists and preparing subfloors.
Installing wetroom formers, gravity drains and pumped waste systems.
Setting correct floor falls and drainage levels to ensure effective water flow.
Installing and connecting shower pump systems and associated plumbing.
Preparing floors ready for specialist vinyl flooring contractors.
Installing sanitary ware, shower screens, grab rails, wall boarding, shower seating and other wetroom accessories.
Ensuring all wetroom fitting is completed to a watertight, level and high standard.
Undertaking larger disrepair and refurbishment works.
Completing wider multi-trade works including plumbing, carpentry, plastering, tiling, painting/decorating and flooring repairs.
Diagnosing defects and completing remedial works efficiently.
Working professionally within tenants' homes, keeping areas clean and minimising disruption.
Completing job sheets, reports and photographic records accurately.I’d love to speak to anyone who has:
Proven Wetroom Fitter experience, ideally installing AKW systems and disabled bathroom adaptations.
Strong knowledge of level-access shower installations, wetroom formers, drainage and pumped waste systems.
Experience breaking out and preparing concrete and timber floors.
A good understanding of drainage falls, floor levels and waterproofing requirements.
Experience completing wetroom fitting within social housing or domestic refurbishment environments.
Experience with larger disrepair and refurbishment works.
Strong multi-trade skills across plumbing, carpentry, plastering, tiling and decorating.
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A professional, tidy and customer-focused approach.
A full UK driving licence.
NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications are desirable but not essential.The role is offering the following benefits:
