Are you an experienced Forklift Driver looking for a varied warehouse role with long-term potential? Our client, a leading and well-established distribution company based in Chelmsford, is seeking a reliable and motivated Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative to join their busy team.

The Role
As a Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring stock is handled efficiently, accurately, and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Picking orders and palletising goods ready for dispatch
Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and effectively
Replenishing stock using a pump truck
Moving stock from goods-in areas to storage and picking locations
Supporting picking and packing activities as required
Assisting with unloading containers
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (external/accredited licence required - in-house licences cannot be accepted)
Previous warehouse and forklift experience
Good communication skills
Ability to prioritise workloads and work efficiently
Understanding of warehouse Health & Safety procedures
Full UK driving licence due to location
Positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
Personal Qualities:
Reliable and hardworking
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Willingness to support colleagues and take on a variety of warehouse duties
