Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised part time Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the finance department. This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills and a proactive approach to managing financial data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across key processes.
Key Responsibilities

Processing purchase invoices and ensuring accurate coding and posting

Assisting with sales invoicing and credit control activities

Reconciling bank statements and supplier accounts

Supporting month-end processes, including journal entries and accruals

Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

Assisting with payroll administration where required

Handling queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders

Supporting audits and compliance checks

General administrative support to the finance team
Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a finance or accounts role

Knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good organisational and time management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero,)

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable
