We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Pre-Application Specialist to join a growing lending team within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role sits within the Sales function and is responsible for supporting the progression of deals from initial enquiry through to underwriting, ensuring all due diligence and documentation is completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Case Management & Due Diligence
• Manage the progression of new enquiries through to underwriting
• Conduct customer due diligence, including background checks and verification
• Review applications to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Chase outstanding documentation from brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders
• Maintain accurate CRM records, ensuring all case updates are logged
Deal Coordination
• Obtain valuation and legal quotes, ensuring timelines are met
• Coordinate ID verification and supporting documentation
• Direct cases through appropriate lending streams (e.g. bridging, refurbishment)
• Support Sales team with follow-ups and pipeline management
Stakeholder Management
• Act as a key point of contact for brokers and clients
• Liaise with internal departments including Sales, Legal, and Risk
• Coordinate with external partners such as surveyors, solicitors, and valuers
• Arrange site inspections and ensure reports are received within SLA
• Provide regular updates to all stakeholders on case progress
Skills & Experience Required
• Previous experience within financial services, lending, or sales support
• Experience in bridging finance or property finance is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of due diligence and documentation processes
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail and analytical ability
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and CRM systems
Desirable Experience
• Exposure to customer due diligence (CDD/KYC)
• Experience working with brokers and intermediaries
• Background in a fast-paced lending or finance environment
