Payroll & Payments Administrator
📍 Chester | Full-Time | Office-Based
Think Accountancy & Finance are once again partnering with a fantastic, fast-growing business in Chester who are looking to add to one of their payroll teams.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who's either already had exposure to payroll, timesheets or payments or someone with strong admin skills who's genuinely interested in building a career in this space.
The team are friendly, fast-paced and very collaborative, the kind of environment where you'll be supported, learn quickly, and feel part of things from day one.
What you'll be doing
You'll play a key role in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, making sure people are paid accurately and on time.
Day-to-day, this will include:
Processing payroll and subcontractor payments
Supporting with timesheets and ensuring accuracy across data
Handling payroll queries from employees and subcontractors
Assisting with statutory payments and pension processes
Supporting HMRC submissions (FPS/RTI)
Helping with invoicing and general finance admin tasks
Keeping internal teams and clients up to dateIt's a role that suits someone who enjoys structure, takes pride in getting things right, and likes being the go-to person for answers.
What we're looking for
We're open on background - what matters most is attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
You might have:
Experience in payroll, timesheets, or processing payments
Or strong administrative experience with an interest in payrollYou'll do well here if you:
Are highly organised and naturally detail-focused
Communicate confidently and clearly
Enjoy working in a team environment
Are comfortable with Excel (or keen to improve)
Take ownership of your work and like seeing things through
Hours & Location
Monday - Friday | 9:00 - 17:30
