An exciting opportunity has become available to join the transport team at a major UK distribution operation based in Hemel Hempstead.
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Transport Administration Clerk to support the fleet and transport department that helps keep products moving across the retailer's nationwide network.
This role is perfect for someone with strong administration skills and confidence using Google spreadsheets, who enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
📋 Key Responsibilities
As part of the transport administration team, your responsibilities will include:
Completing and processing vehicle service documentation
Updating the fleet planner to ensure accurate vehicle scheduling
Scheduling vehicle services and maintenance
Maintaining 15 months of vehicle documentation in line with compliance standards
Liaising with external service providers and vendors
Recording and updating vehicle defect reports
Providing general administrative support to the transport and fleet team
💻 Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will need:
Strong administration and organisational skills
Good computer literacy
Confidence using Google Sheets / spreadsheets (essential)
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy transport environment
Previous experience in transport, fleet, logistics, or operations administration would be beneficial, although strong administrative candidates from other sectors will also be considered.
