We are looking for a reliable and friendly Catering Assistant to support catering services at a local school in Swanscombe. Due to the nature of the role, an Enhanced DBS check is mandatory. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering a high-quality food service in a structured environment.
Role Description
As a Catering Assistant, you will support the day-to-day running of catering services. You will assist with food preparation, service, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assisting with basic food preparation and food service
Serving food and beverages in a professional and friendly manner
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and health & safety
Cleaning and sanitising kitchen, service, and dining areas
Supporting stock control and kitchen organisation
Delivering excellent customer service at all times
Working effectively as part of a catering team
Requirements
DBS Enhanced Check - mandatory
Food Safety Certificate Level 2 - desirable
Previous catering or food service experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required
