Our client, a well-regarded college in the Tonbridge area, is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support learners across a range of agricultural and land-based subjects.
This is a varied and rewarding role that will involve significant outdoor working, supporting students in practical, hands-on learning environments such as farms, workshops, fields, and animal care settings. As such, candidates must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions and have a genuine interest in outdoor and agricultural education.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing in-class and practical support to students with a range of learning needs
Supporting learners during outdoor and agricultural lessons, including practical tasks
Promoting student independence, engagement, and wellbeing
Working closely with teaching staff to ensure lessons are accessible and inclusive
Supporting health and safety procedures in outdoor and practical environments
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working with young people or learners with additional needs (desirable)
Be physically fit and comfortable with outdoor, practical work
Show patience, adaptability, and a positive, proactive attitude
Have an interest in agriculture, animal care, or outdoor education (highly desirable)
Hold or be willing to complete relevant safeguarding training
