Our client, a rapidly expanding SME specialising in the supply and repair cycle management of rotable flying controls and structural components for the Aviation sector, is seeking an organised and driven individual to join their dynamic stores team in Braintree, Essex in the position of Warehouse Operative and contribute during an exciting period of planned growth.

Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative;
- Using the forklift to load / unload vehicles safely.
- Receiving aircraft parts (often very large) into the warehouse.
- Checking, labelling, photographing & receiving in parts.
- Carrying out regular stock checks.
- Updating the stock system with relevant information.
- Preparing parts and paperwork for sales orders.
- Liaising with Sales /Procurement teams with regard to incoming / outgoing parts
- Updating colleagues verbally, by email and use of shared documents.
- Following strict procedures for handling / storage of aircraft parts.
- Call outs which include Weekends and Evenings.
To be Considered for the Warehouse Operative:
- Proven warehouse or stores experience
- Attention to detail is a crucial part of the role
- Motivated and proactive and works well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Organised, able to manage own workload to meet deadlines
- Great team player and can work well independently
- Experience with Microsoft packages and ability to learn bespoke computer system and understand technical information
- GCSE’s level Math & English (or alts)
- Flexible with regards to working hours
- Current full driver’s licence
- Forklift Experience
