Experienced Motor Claims Handler needed for third party motor claims in Bolton (BL7). £27,479 – £35,000, Monday to Friday 9–5, free parking.
If you already handle third party motor claims – TPPD, credit hire, disputed liability – and you want more say over your own files, this is worth a read. An established, FCA-regulated insurer on the edge of Bolton is adding an experienced Motor Claims Handler to its third party claims team.
What the Motor Claims Handler does
-
Own a caseload of third party vehicle and property damage claims from notification to settlement
-
Investigate liability and make the call on fault, with the evidence to back it
-
Validate and challenge credit hire claims: hire periods, rates, need and mitigation
-
Negotiate with solicitors, insurers, accident management and credit hire companies
-
Handle the high-value and disputed motor claims, not just the straightforward ones
-
Spot fraud indicators on motor claims and refer them
-
Keep every claim moving to service standards
What you'll bring
-
Motor claims experience, ideally third party, TPPD or credit hire
-
Confidence arguing liability and holding your position
-
A tidy, organised approach to a full claims caseload across multiple systems
-
GCSE English and Maths at C/4 or above
-
CII held, or happy to work towards it (fully funded)
-
A full driving licence – the site isn't on a realistic bus route
Pay and benefits
-
£27,479 – £35,000 depending on motor claims experience (the top of the range is for strong third party and credit hire claims handlers)
-
35 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. No evenings or weekends. Hybrid after probation
-
Fully funded CII and a dedicated in-house motor claims trainer
-
29 days' holiday including bank holidays, rising to 36, plus your birthday off
