An opportunity to join a specialist engineering business, coordinating service visits, supporting engineers and keeping customer jobs on track.
Are you an organised Service Administrator who enjoys keeping people, schedules and jobs running smoothly?
We're looking for a Service Administrator to support a busy engineering service operation. You'll organise engineer schedules, liaise with customers, arrange travel and ensure the right information and documentation are in place for jobs to run efficiently.
You don't necessarily need to have worked in exactly the same role before. Experience in service coordination, scheduling, technical administration or supporting a field-based team could all be relevant.
The Role
You'll play an important part in keeping engineering service activities organised, supporting field engineers and ensuring customers receive an efficient, professional service.
-
Coordinate and schedule service visits, allocating engineers according to availability, location and job requirements.
-
Manage changing schedules, rearrange appointments and resolve day-to-day issues.
-
Act as a key point of contact for customers, engineers, suppliers and internal teams.
-
Arrange domestic and international travel, including flights, hotels and ferries.
-
Handle customer enquiries, process orders and clarify spare parts requirements.
-
Source technical manuals and ensure engineers have the information they need.
-
Maintain job files, service records, machine contract documentation and shared databases.
-
Review engineer expenses and overtime claims, obtain approvals and submit information for payroll.
-
Keep customers informed and ensure service activities are accurately documented.
About You
We're interested in people who enjoy organising, communicating and making sure nothing gets missed.
You could have experience as a Service Administrator, Service Coordinator, Field Service Administrator, Scheduler, Engineering Administrator or in a similar coordination role.
You'll ideally bring:
-
Experience coordinating schedules, appointments, jobs or field-based staff.
-
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities.
-
Confident communication skills when dealing with customers and colleagues.
-
A practical approach to resolving problems and keeping work moving.
-
Good attention to detail and confidence using Microsoft Office, Excel and business systems.
Experience in engineering, manufacturing, industrial equipment, maintenance or another technical service environment would be advantageous. Experience arranging engineer travel, managing spare parts or maintaining service contracts would also be useful.
Why Apply?
-
A varied role combining coordination, customer contact and service support.
-
The chance to take ownership of an important part of the operation.
-
Exposure to specialist engineering activities and international service arrangements.
-
An opportunity to develop your experience within a busy technical business.
If you're an experienced Service Administrator or have transferable experience coordinating service work, managing schedules or supporting a busy operational team, we'd be keen to hear from you
