About the Role
Bexley Council is seeking an experienced and confident Advanced Children & Family Practitioner to join its Families First – Family Help Service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled social work professional to provide advanced practice, professional leadership and expert safeguarding guidance while supporting children and families with complex needs requiring statutory intervention.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality assessments, effective care planning and impactful interventions that safeguard children and improve family outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a complex caseload of children and families requiring statutory intervention.

Provide professional leadership, advanced social work practice and expert safeguarding advice.

Oversee assessments, care planning and interventions to ensure high standards of practice.

Support colleagues in managing complex safeguarding situations and making informed decisions.

Promote child-centred practice and positive outcomes for children and families.

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and statutory guidance.
