Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator

We are currently looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator to join our busy workshop.
This is a hands-on workshop position, suited to someone with previous experience working with sheet metal, fabrication, welding or general metalwork. We are also happy to consider candidates from related backgrounds such as metal fabrication, press brake operation, toolmaking or engineering workshops.
The Role
You will be working as part of a skilled workshop team, producing and assembling metal components to drawings and required specifications.
The role will include:

Cutting, forming and fabricating sheet metal components

Working from engineering drawings and specifications
-
Using workshop machinery and hand tools

Welding and assembling components where required

Measuring and checking finished components

Marking out, drilling, grinding and finishing

Maintaining good standards of quality and workmanship

Working safely and keeping the workshop clean and organised

Supporting other workshop activities when required
About You
We are looking for someone who has practical workshop experience and takes pride in producing quality work.
You may have experience as a:
The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience working with sheet metal or metal fabrication

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

Good measuring and attention-to-detail skills

Experience using workshop machinery and hand tools

Welding experience would be advantageous

A reliable and practical approach to work

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
