Scheduler / Repairs Planner
Salary: £26,000 to £30,000

I’m working with an established property maintenance business looking to add a Scheduler / Repairs Planner to its operational team.
This is a busy office based position where you’ll be responsible for organising works, booking appointments and helping keep day to day maintenance activity running smoothly.
You’ll spend a lot of your time speaking with residents, operatives and internal teams, so this would suit somebody who is comfortable on the phone, organised and able to keep on top of a changing workload.
Previous experience within social housing, property maintenance, construction or a similar service led environment would be ideal, although the most important thing is that you are confident dealing with people and can stay organised when things get busy.
What you’ll be doing
Booking repair and maintenance appointments
Working with SOR codes as part of the repairs process
Scheduling operatives and coordinating daily workloads
Speaking with tenants and residents over the phone
Rearranging appointments when priorities change
Updating job information and keeping records accurate
Liaising with engineers, tradespeople and operational teams
Helping resolve scheduling clashes and missed appointments
Supporting urgent and reactive works
Keeping customers updated on appointment times and changes
What we’re looking for
You’ll need previous experience within a busy repairs, maintenance, social housing, property services or similar
The key requirements for this role are:
Experience planning or scheduling responsive repairs
Good working knowledge of SOR codes and how they are used within repairs and maintenance
Experience managing a high volume of jobs and changing priorities
Experience coordinating operatives and/or subcontractors
Comfortable dealing with follow on works, remedials and job updates
Confident communicating with customers and residents, including vulnerable residents
Comfortable handling a high volume of calls and enquiries
Able to prioritise emergency and urgent repairs alongside planned workloads
Strong organisational skills and the ability to keep accurate records
Comfortable using job management, scheduling or repairs systems
Confident using Microsoft Office
Able to remain calm and make sensible decisions when plans change at short notice
Comfortable working full time from the office
Experience within social housing would be highly advantageous, particularly if you have worked within a responsive repairs contract working within a contractor or subcontractor led repairs.

This is a fully office based position, so applicants must be comfortable commuting into the office on a full time basis.
