Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Helping to prepare and submit planning applications and supporting documents
Carrying out planning research and reviewing national, regional and local policy
Contributing to site appraisals, planning assessments and development proposals
Producing reports, presentations, briefing notes and other materials for clients
Tracking planning applications, appeals and other planning procedures
Assisting senior colleagues with project management and client requirementsSkills and experience required for the Assistant Planner role:
A degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Planning or a related discipline
Some planning experience, gained in consultancy, local government or a similar setting
Knowledge of the UK planning system and current planning policy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong research and analytical skills
A keen eye for detail and good organisation
The capacity to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines
Comfort working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
A proactive attitude and readiness to take ownership
