Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Colchester, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and looking to develop their career within a nurturing school environment that offers ongoing support and professional development.
The school is looking for a committed practitioner with strong communication skills, effective behaviour management, and a genuine desire to support pupils both academically and socially.
📌 CONTRACT DETAILS
Location - Colchester
Position - Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Type of work - Classroom support and small group intervention work
Start date - ASAP
Duration - Ongoing / Long-term
Full time/part-time - Full time
Rate of pay - £90-£100 per day (depending on experience)
Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm
📚 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting children in a UK primary school setting (placements accepted)
Experience working with pupils who require additional learning support is desirable
Relevant LSA, TA, childcare, or education-based qualifications desirable
Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)
✔️ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
Provide two professional child-related references
