We are seeking a team of asbestos removal operatives experienced at working on a large industrial site. Our client is carrying out demolition works at Ratcliffe Power Station. The duration for the project is 4 years and we need a team of experienced asbestos operatives to work alongside our demolition team.
Accommodation will be provided for successful applicants if needed.
Duties

Safely remove, contain, and dispose of asbestos materials following strict regulatory guidelines and company procedures

Prepare work sites by setting up containment barriers, decontamination units, and appropriate signage

Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to carefully dismantle or remove asbestos-containing structures or materials

Conduct thorough inspections of work areas to identify hazards and ensure all asbestos is properly handled and disposed of

Maintain detailed records of removal activities, waste disposal documentation, and site inspections

Follow all health and safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operations

Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently while maintaining a focus on safety standards
Experience
-
Prior experience in asbestos removal or related environmental hazardous material handling is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, fabrication techniques, and site safety procedures is highly desirable

Strong understanding of health & safety regulations related to hazardous materials management
