Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00am to 17:00pm
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Floor Layer to join a leading Social Housing Contractor operating across Dudley, Wolverhampton, and Sandwell. The successful candidate will work within occupied social housing properties, carrying out reactive repairs and planned maintenance to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service to tenants.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out floor laying repairs and renewals within occupied social housing properties.
Install, repair, and maintain a variety of flooring types including vinyl, safety flooring, sheet vinyl, laminate, and carpet tiles.
Undertake floor preparation works including latex screeding, patch repairs, and subfloor preparation.
Ensure all flooring installations are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Complete up to 7 jobs per day across the designated patch.
Communicate professionally and courteously with residents at all times.
Accurately update job progress and completion details using a mobile application.
Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Floor Layer, ideally within the social housing, repairs, or maintenance sector.
Experience fitting a range of flooring products including vinyl, safety flooring, and laminate flooring.
Ability to prepare subfloors and carry out associated flooring repairs.
Experience working in occupied properties and providing excellent customer service.
Own basic hand and power tools required for floor laying works.
Smartphone for receiving and updating jobs via the company app (BYOD allowance of £20 per month).
Full UK Driving Licence.
Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
