Brake Press/Machine Operator
Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd are seeking an experienced Brake Press/Laser Operator for our well-established clients based in Pershore, leading manufacturers to the defence and transport sectors. Your expertise will ensure precise fabrication of parts according to specifications, supporting the production of high-quality metal assemblies and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with fabrication processes.
Main Responsibilities:

Set up and operate brake press machines (Amada) to produce parts and metal components accurately

Adjust and verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm tolerances and machine functions to accommodate different materials and project requirements

Able to interpret technical drawings and work instructions

Inspect finished parts for quality, ensuring they meet design specifications and tolerances

Use hand tools and tooling to assist in fabrication, assembly, or finishing tasks

Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Skills and Experience:
-
Proven experience operating a Brake Press (Amada) - minimum 1 year

A minimum of 2 years experience setting and operating a Laser machine
-
Understanding of mechanical production techniques and able to read technical drawings

Good numeracy skills for calculation of measurements and adjustments

Able to use accurately: tape measure, verniers, micrometre and other go/no-go gauges

Pays attention to detail and to quality standards

Able to problem solve and an ability to work as part of a team

Salary up to £14.75 p/hr DOE + Company Benefits
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 07:45 - 17:15, Friday 07:45 - 13:00 (Early Finish)
Temporary to Permanent Contract.
