We are looking for a MIG Welder for a permanent position based with our client in Sheffield
Immediate start available (subject to interview process)
Rate of pay £17.00 per hour for basic hours
The Role
As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out MIG welding and fabrication work to a high standard, working from engineering drawings and specifications.
Duties will include:
MIG welding steel components and structures
Working from engineering drawings and welding specifications
Setting up welding equipment and selecting the appropriate settings
Fabricating and assembling steelwork
Checking welds and finished work to ensure quality and accuracy
Using hand and workshop tools
Working alongside Platers and other members of the fabrication team
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality and production standardsThe Ideal Candidate
Previous experience as a MIG Welder
Experience within a steel fabrication environment
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Good knowledge of MIG welding techniques
Experience working with structural steel and fabricated components
Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Relevant welding/fabrication qualifications would be advantageous#NVQ Level in Fabrication and Welding would be expected.
