We’re looking for a hands-on Commercial Gas Engineer to join a growing team responsible for maintaining and improving large-scale heating and industrial plant rooms across multiple sites.
This is a varied role where you’ll be working on plant equipment in commercial environments, carrying out maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and helping improve system performance and reliability.
What you’ll be doing

Carrying out planned maintenance on mechanical plant equipment (pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pressurisation units)

Diagnosing faults and completing repairs across heating and plant systems

Responding to breakdowns and restoring services as quickly as possible

Supporting small projects and plant upgrades

Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with procedures

Keeping accurate maintenance records and reports

Taking part in an on-call rota
What we’re looking for
-
Experience working in plant rooms or similar environments

Experience maintaining commercial mechanical systems (heating, pumps, pipework, etc.)

Understanding of fault finding and repair on plant equipment

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Gas, Plumbing, or Mechanical discipline

Willingness to work towards or hold commercial gas qualifications
