Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Metal Polisher to join an established engineering facility based in Witham.
The successful candidate will be responsible for polishing and finishing a range of metal components, primarily aluminium, ensuring all work meets the required quality and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out polishing and finishing operations on various metals, primarily aluminium.

Use hand tools, power tools and specialist polishing equipment.

Inspect surfaces before and after polishing to identify scratches, defects and imperfections.

Prepare materials by cleaning, degreasing and applying appropriate compounds or coatings.

Monitor the quality of finished surfaces and make adjustments where required.

Maintain and clean polishing equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.

Identify and troubleshoot issues with polishing processes, equipment and materials.

Maintain accurate records of processes, materials and quality inspections.
About You
-
Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for quality.

Previous experience in a polishing, finishing or similar manufacturing role is desirable.

Able to read and understand technical drawings.

Practical and hands-on approach to problem solving.

Able to work independently as well as part of a wider production team.

Reliable, organised and committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
40 hours per week
Salary
Up to £17.00 per hour, depending on experience.
