Job Summary
We are searching for a self-disciplined, passionate team player who thrives in a detail oriented, dynamic environment to join the CK Family.
As a Clinical Support Specialist at CK Family Services, you will engage directly with children, youth, and their parents using nationally recognized, evidence-based and research supported practices to increase well-being and promote positive outcomes. The ideal candidate must be self-disciplined, thorough, and value getting it right. In addition to direct contact with our clients the position is responsible for documentation and adherence to predetermined protocols, policies, and procedures with a high degree of accuracy.
General Responsibilities
Provide curriculum based rehabilitative mental health services to families, individuals and groups.
Complete all documentation (case notes, treatment plans, service request forms, behavioral questionnaires and uniform assessments) in a timely and accurate manner.
Document services provided with the understanding that all clinical notations are considered legal documents and can be used in a court of law. All documentation must be true and accurate and under no circumstance falsified in any manner.
Prepare and present assigned cases for review during monthly supervision or at other specified intervals
Immediately contact assigned supervisor and file a report with DFPS within twenty-four hours if there is reason to believe that a consumer has been the victim of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
Report critical incidents to assigned supervisor and director within 24 hours of the occurrence.
Immediately contact assigned supervisor if subpoenaed to testify in legal proceedings and forward the subpoena to HR.
Maintain client confidentiality at all times and be familiar with all HIPPA laws and regulations.
Attend all Team, Individual, and Training Meetings as required.
Maintain professional certification and/or licensure, as applicable.
Maintain professional behavior at all times as a representative of CK Family Services.
Ensure that all persons served are aware of all services offered within the agency.
Serve on task forces as requested.
Provide consultation to vendor agencies with whom the agency contracts as required.
Obey all city, state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
Perform duties without violation of any ethical standards, state or federal codes, or agency requirements.
Be familiar with the Policies and Procedures Manual, Employee Handbook, and Employee Expectations.
Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations of DSHS including licensure rules and regulations and suspected fraudulent practices.
Participate in Child and Family Team meetings as appropriate.
Participate in clinical meetings and agency administrative meetings as required.
Provide transportation for clients as appropriate in conjunction with services provided.
Open and process mail / e-mail daily in a timely manner.
Answer phone calls, listen to recorded messages and respond to requests timely and accurately.
Be on time for all appointments or call to reschedule or provide notification if delayed.
Perform all other duties and tasks as requested
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field as specified in the Texas Administrative Code for QMHP qualifications.
Must possess basic therapeutic skills.
Experience and training in working with individuals with severs and persistent mental illness, children with severe emotional disturbances, and delivery of services based on curriculum.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
Proficient in basic computer skills that include but are not limited to data entry, MS Office, jobsite portals and company software.
Must have reliable transportation.
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people
Must be comfortable with heavy travel to homes across the state of Texas.
Strong cognitive, decision-making and problem-solving skills and a willingness to take on new projects with a can do attitude
Strong desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Ability work effectively under stress and remain flexible in changing situations.
Ability to be on-call as necessary and respond immediately to different communication platforms.
Ability to participate in training and facilitate training as required.
Perform the physical demands of the position
Ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people;
Ability to step backwards, grasp, bend at the waist and knees, lower 30-50 pounds to the ground, be able to get up and down from the floor without assistance, exhibit full range of motion in both arms and legs, and be able to do a deep, reverse lunge (SAMA Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression).
Ability to walk frequently; stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; squat occasionally, climb stairs infrequently, and kneel and twist as needed.
Sufficient good health to properly fulfill all role responsibilities. Employees shall not be permitted to work who have infectious diseases or skin lesions for the duration of the communicability.
