United Vein and Vascular Centers is EXPANDING! As we embark on our journey into the Dallas market, we are opening six brand new locations. Our new clinics will be opening in Sept 2024 with training in one of our established markets out of state.

Responsibilities:
The Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer will perform all ordered lower extremity vascular exams and assist the physician or provider with phlebology procedures. The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist works as an active member of the healthcare team, providing safe, effective, and high-quality patient care. They assist in consistent patient education and participate in practice building initiatives and administrative tasks as time permits.
Assist the physician during endovenous laser ablation and microphlebectomy procedures.
Collaborate with other clinic staff in the set-up and clean-up of the treatment rooms before and after each session to maintain efficient patient flow.
Perform patient evaluation and assessment prior to ultrasound examination.
Complete all appropriate reports following each patient interaction, following UVVC written ultrasound protocols.
Perform ordered duplex ultrasound examination and other imaging studies.
Submit diagnostic findings that accurately reflet each patient's disease process.
Maintain equipment and image storage.
Assist with management of supply inventory.

Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with UVVC policies, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other applicable laws and regulations. PHI is a top priority of our organization.

Qualifications:
Must be RVT, RVS or RPhS or eligible to sit for vascular credential.
If currently not certified, you will be required to test to obtain your certification within 90 days from your date of hire into the role. Attainment of your certification is required within 12 months of hire. Please note that failure to attain and maintain certification while employed with UVVC may be grounds for termination.
If certified, maintain vascular ultrasound credentials by being in good standing with CCI or ARDMS and earning the appropriate amount of CME each cycle period.
Once credentialed, obtain a minimum of 30 CME hours every 3 years which focus on vascular ultrasound.
Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (AHA).
Minimum 1 year experience performing vascular ultrasound scans preferred.
Prior experience with phlebology scans and assisting procedures preferred.
Demonstrate desire to learn, grow, and maintain knowledge of industry standards by joining groups, attending meetings, reading journals, and performing research.
Suggested organizations: Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU), Society for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS), and the American Venous and Lymphatic Society (AVLS)
Dependable; able to meet reliable attendance and punctuality standards.
