Summary:
As a Behavioral Health Counselor (LPC or LCSW) you will provide therapeutic services to children and families at our neighborhood outpatient clinics. Therapeutic interventions include individual counseling, family therapy, crisis intervention, and providing ongoing psycho-education to children and their families to help them cope with acute and chronic medical and mental health conditions to promote wellness and maintain functional behaviors. The Behavioral Health Therapist works with a multidisciplinary team that collaborates with the patient’s primary care physician and treatment team to advance the medical plan of care. The therapist will also collaborate with various agencies to support the family’s effort in caring for their child. Our community-based neighborhood clinics provide complete wrap-around services for children (birth through adolescence). Our staff includes pediatricians, clinical staff, administrative staff, and family support staff that work in collaboration to provide complete care for children at every age and stage.
Hours/Location: 8 am - 5 pm Mon-Fri (flexible scheduling options available) Fort Worth area
Required Licensure, Education & Experience:
Graduate Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with the state of Texas.
Experience working with children, adolescents, and teens.
Previous experience providing therapeutic interventions.
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to plan and organize effectively.
Proficient in the use of various computer applications.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Experience working in health care or multidisciplinary setting.
Bilingual English and Spanish speaking a plus.
