Trade Counter Assistant
Location: Wickford Area
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (No weekends)
About the Role
We’re currently recruiting for a well-established and busy plumbing and heating supplier in the Wickford area, who are looking to welcome a Trade Counter Assistant into their friendly, close-knit team.
This is a great opportunity to join a small, family-run business where people genuinely enjoy what they do and take pride in offering excellent customer service. You’ll be a key part of the day-to-day running of the counter, building relationships with customers and helping keep things running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing

Serving customers on the trade counter in a helpful and approachable manner

Offering advice on plumbing and heating products

Processing orders, sales, and payments

Keeping stock levels topped up and displays organised

Building strong relationships with regular customers

Supporting with general branch duties as needed
About You
We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience in a trade counter or similar customer-facing role

Ideally has a background in plumbing or heating

Is comfortable working in a small or family-run business environment

Is friendly, reliable, and confident speaking with customers

Has good communication and organisational skills

Enjoys working as part of a team in a busy setting
