Job Title: Storeperson / Warehouse Operative (Forklift Operator)
Salary: £28k to start with the going to £30,600 after probation
Location: Banbury
Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
30 days per year, inclusive of public holidays
Main Purpose of the Role:
To manage the safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while operating a forklift truck to move stock efficiently within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving, unloading, and checking incoming deliveries
- Operating a forklift truck to move and store goods safely
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
- Loading vehicles using appropriate handling equipment
- Carrying out stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Ensuring goods are stored correctly and safely
- Inspecting loads for damage or discrepancies
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
- Following all health and safety procedures and site regulations
- Completing basic paperwork or using warehouse management systems
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous warehouse/storeperson experience (preferred)
- Valid forklift certificate (e.g. from RTITB, ITSSAR, or NPORS)
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT or stock control system knowledge (desirable)
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks

- Reliable and punctual
- Safety-conscious, especially when operating machinery
- Organised and methodical
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid forklift training certificate
- Good Maths and English skills
- Understanding of workplace safety (aligned with Health and Safety Executive guidelines)
