The Role:
• Assist with the preparation and finishing of patterns and moulds used in composite manufacturing
• Carry out hand finishing using a variety of tools, including air tools and abrasives
• Apply sealers to patterns and complete post-spray preparation
• Work from engineering drawings and standard operating procedures
• Support continuous improvement of processes to enhance quality and efficiency
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and in good working order
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Skills & Experience Needed:
• Previous experience in a pattern shop or similar manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
• Ability to follow instructions and work to defined processes
• Good understanding of health and safety in a workshop environment
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
