SEN Learning Support Assistant – Full Time
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Contract: Full time, Monday to Friday, long-term
We are currently working with a specialist secondary school in Bury who are looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a long-term opportunity supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, communication difficulties and learning challenges.
The school is well-established and places a strong emphasis on consistency, routine and building positive relationships to support pupils both academically and emotionally.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with pupils throughout the school day, supporting them to access lessons and remain engaged in a structured environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing targeted 1:1 support for pupils who require additional assistance
Supporting small group activities within the classroom
Assisting with lesson delivery and adapting resources where necessary
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour
Encouraging independence and positive engagement

Experience working with pupils with SEN or additional needs
A calm, consistent and supportive approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build effective working relationships
Available to work full time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
