Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a Primary School in Oldham who are seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant to work within their SEN unit.

About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
Manage and respond to challenging behaviour effectively
Assist with learning across individual, small group, and whole class settings
Monitor and support pupils with SEMH and additional special educational needs
Encourage positive behaviour using consistent reinforcement strategies
Provide academic, social, and emotional support to pupils
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should:
Have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
Take a holistic approach to supporting children's development
Be calm, empathetic, and able to set clear boundaries
Be reliable, trustworthy, and committed
Have a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
