We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and dynamic organisation operating within the international travel sector.

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the finance function, with a strong emphasis on Accounts Payable. This position is ideally suited to someone with proven experience in a similar role who is confident managing day-to-day financial operations and maintaining high standards of financial control.
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits + study support
Workings Hours: 9am - 5:30pm
Location: Central London (3 days in the office)
Key Responsibilities:

Manage purchase ledger activities across multiple currencies (circa 50 supplier accounts)

Review and verify supplier invoices against contractual agreements to ensure accuracy of rates

Perform fortnightly BSP reconciliations (airline payments)

Conduct weekly checks and payments relating to parent company airline invoices

Produce daily banking balance reports

Support balance collection activities from customers

Reconcile employee expense submissions

Provide general finance support and undertake ad hoc duties as required
Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role, with a strong focus on Accounts Payable

Demonstrable experience managing multi-currency ledgers and supplier relationships

Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload

Process-driven mindset with strong problem-solving ability

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks under pressure

Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
