Our client is a fabulous organisation, seeking a Logistics Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for general admin tasks and day to day booking of overnight parcels and consignments. This will include both daily and weekly tasks. The ideal candidate will ideally have relevant administrative experience within a logistics environment, but training will be given. The role requires flexibility, reliability, and a proactive attitude to ensure that all requirements for overnight bookings are met to a high standard.
Essential Criteria (Skills & Experience):
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with data entry and overnight courier services
• Ability to communicate clearly with other team members and have a strong team ethic
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Good IT skills, including use of scheduling or logistics systems
• Full UK driving licence
• Flexibility to work outside standard hours when operationally required
• Ability to work in the packing/production department when required.
Core Areas of Responsibility:
• Book and label overnight consignments
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and on time
• Maintain accurate records
• Liaise with outside suppliers and service providers
• Monitor deliveries and consignments ensuring reliable and consistent deliveries
• Support the Logistics Team
Main Duties:
• Book and maintain overnight deliveries
• Keep detailed and accurate records
• Assist the logistics team
• Support operational teams during busy periods, providing clear and proactive updates
This role will be based within a production/warehouse type of environment. The successful candidate will have strong admin and interpersonal skills, a great attitude and willingness to assist with production/warehouse duties during busy times.
Monday – Friday (40 hour week)
THIS IS NOT A HYBRID ROLE AND WILL REQUIRE YOU TO WORK ON SITE EVERY DAY.
