Van Driver- Construction Company (Central London)
Location: Central London
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction company operating across Central London. They're looking for a reliable and experienced Van Driver who can also support operations in the yard when needed.
This role is ideal for a professional driver with a background in construction logistics, builders' merchants, or site support - someone confident driving in London, handling deliveries, and working with materials and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
· Safely operate a 3.5 tonne flatbed van to deliver materials, tools, and equipment to multiple sites across London
· Load and unload deliveries, ensuring everything is secure and handled correctly
· Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections
· Support the yard team with loading, organising stock, and keeping the area tidy
· Help ensure that all health & safety procedures are followed on-site and in the yard
· Communicate clearly with site managers and office staff regarding delivery schedules
What You'll Need:
· Full UK Driving Licence (Category B) - Essential
· Previous experience driving vans in London or within the construction/builders merchant sector
· Confident with manual handling and lifting (this is a physical role)
· Solid understanding of construction site logistics and materials
· A reliable, punctual, and self-motivated attitude
· Good knowledge of safe loading practices and vehicle checks
