About the Role
As an LSA at Wolverhampton College, you will:
Provide in-class support to students with a range of additional learning needs (SEND, SEMH, physical needs, cognitive learning needs, etc.)
Help learners access the curriculum and develop independence.
Support lecturers with adapting resources and managing classroom expectations.
Deliver 1:1 or small-group interventions where required.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Record progress and contribute to learner support plans.
What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting young people or adults in an educational, care, or support setting.
A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt to different subjects and learning styles.
Level 2/3 Support qualification is desirable but not essential.
A valid or update-service DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
