Lean Tutor (Warehouse)

The Role
As a Lean & Warehouse Tutor, you will deliver engaging training sessions across warehouse operations, logistics, and continuous improvement, supporting learners enrolled on Adult Education Budget (AEB) courses and employability programmes.
You will guide learners through practical training that helps them understand Lean principles, workplace efficiency, and operational best practices used in modern warehouse and distribution environments.
Key responsibilities include:

Delivering training in warehouse operations, logistics, and Lean methodologies

Supporting learners on AEB-funded Adult Education and employability programmes

Coaching learners to understand and apply continuous improvement tools such as 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and root cause analysis

Supporting learners working towards recognised vocational qualifications with awarding bodies such as City & Guilds, Pearson, or EAL

Monitoring learner progress and providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback

Conducting learner reviews and ensuring delivery meets Ofsted and quality assurance standards

Maintaining accurate learner records and programme documentation

Building strong relationships with employer partners and stakeholders

Supporting learners to develop workplace skills, confidence, and employability behaviours
This role combines vocational teaching, employability training, and industry coaching, making it ideal for someone who enjoys developing people and preparing learners for careers in logistics and supply chain.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring experience from warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environments, along with a passion for training and supporting adult learners.
Essential

Experience working within warehouse operations, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environments

Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement techniques

A passion for teaching, coaching, and supporting learner development

Strong communication and organisational skills

Good IT and administrative skills for managing learner records
Desirable (but not essential)

Experience delivering training within Adult Education, AEB-funded programmes, or employability provision

A teaching or training qualification such as AET, PTLLS, or equivalent (or willingness to work towards one)

Experience supporting learners on vocational courses, skills bootcamps, or apprenticeships

Understanding of Ofsted requirements and funded education programmes
