We are seeking a proactive and motivated Senior Assistant Accountant to join the team, this is a full time role which offers hybrid working on the basis of 3 days in the office and 2 from home, the office is based on the outskirts of Cambridge with parking.
You will play a key role in ensuring effective and accurate financial operations across the organisation, reporting into the CFO this role includes leading month end processes, preparing reports and reconciliations, supporting budgeting activities, and contributing to key financial projects.
Youwill also line manage an Accounts Assistant and collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure financial deadlines and reporting standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and journals
Prepare monthly management accounts
Oversee credit control
Maintain monthly cash flow reports
Prepare and reconcile intercompany invoices and transfers
Support year end audit processes
Prepare annual budgets
Attend operational meetings and lead on finance related actions
Support production of quarterly Board Packs, including consolidated management accounts
Review payroll reports and prepare monthly journals
Submit monthly pension reporting
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to senior finance leaders
Ensure compliance with financial procedures and contribute to process improvementsYou will be AAT level 4 qualified as a minimum and have proven relevant experience, you must be comfortable managing your own workload and the desire to take on the management of 1 person. This is a full time role working 35 hours per week which offers a competitive salary and full benefits package.
