Customer Orders Representative
Location: Peterborough
Rate: £15.88 per hour (PAYE)
Contract: 12‑month assignment, likely to be extended
Working Pattern: Fully onsite initially (5 days per week), progressing to hybrid (2 days remote)

About the Role:
Our client is expanding their Customer Order Management team and is seeking four experienced Customer Order Management Representatives to support a major new project. In this role, you will act as the single point of contact for assigned customer accounts, managing the full order lifecycle and ensuring orders are processed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the complete order lifecycle including new customer setup, order entry, modifications, and escalations.

Serve as the primary liaison between customers, distribution centres, manufacturing teams, and internal departments.

Provide clear, accurate communication and documentation throughout the order process.

Investigate and resolve complex customer enquiries, ensuring timely and effective responses.

Maintain accurate records of all interactions and ensure compliance with export requirements.

Support resolution of quality issues and submit relevant non‑conformance reports.

Prepare and distribute standard and customised customer reports.

Participate in process improvement initiatives and support departmental goals.
Candidate Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in Customer Order Management or Customer Service.

Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is essential.

Strong technical understanding and ability to learn systems quickly.

Excellent communication and customer‑focused problem‑solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to accuracy and detail.

Experience with order management systems and quality processes is beneficial.
