Learning Support Assistant (Primary School)

Pay: £88.92–£95 per day
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Worthing, who are seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning and social needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in helping children thrive, build confidence and engage positively in their learning within a nurturing school environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide in-class support to pupils with additional learning needs
• Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions where required
• Assist with learning activities, adapting tasks to suit individual abilities
• Promote independence, emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school support team
• Maintain a calm, encouraging and child-centred approach
• Support pupils’ integration into the classroom and wider school life
The Ideal Candidate
• Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND
• Patient, nurturing and resilient
• Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
• Confident in following educational and behavioural strategies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, proactive and committed to supporting children’s development
• Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check (or be registered on the Update Service)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
