Assistant Building Surveyor
£30,000 - £42,000 + Discretionary bonus
📍 Chelmsford, Essex
This is a permanent, full-time position with a hybrid working pattern (3/2). The role sits within a Chartered Building Surveying practice and provides exposure to both project and professional instructions, supporting APC progression.
🎯 Responsibilities

Deliver Building Surveying services across commercial, residential, education and retail sectors

Undertake contract administration and project management duties

Support professional instructions including dilapidations, Party Wall matters and defect inspections

Assist with design and planning-related tasks

Work with senior surveyors to develop technical and professional capability
✅ Requirements

RICS-accredited degree in Building Surveying or equivalent

Actively working towards APC completion

Exposure to project and/or professional Building Surveying work

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Organised and motivated with commitment to professional development
