A Multitrader in the residential construction/developer environment is a multi-skilled operative responsible for carrying out a wide range of construction, repair, and maintenance tasks across residential properties — including new build homes, refurbishments, social housing, and occupied properties. The role is hands-on and requires working independently and on site with minimal supervision.

Conduct general repairs and maintenance across residential properties and construction sites.

Carry out tasks in multiple trades, such as:

Carpentry (doors, windows, flooring, joinery)

Plumbing (minor repairs, leak fixes)

Plastering and patch repairs

Tiling, painting & decorating
-
Basic brickwork and plaster repairs

Kitchen/bathroom refurbishments, installation, or snags.

Work with snagging lists and complete remedial works as directed by site managers.

Ensure all works meet company quality standards, specifications, and health & safety regulations.

Communicate with residents (for occupied properties) or project teams to ensure minimal disruption and professional service.

Maintain accurate records of work, material use, and updates via digital tools or site paperwork (e.g., PDA/job tracking apps).

Respond to reactive repair requests and complete tasks on a “first-fix” basis where possible.

Undertake planned and preventative maintenance programmes.
