Assistant Manager - Finance

The Role
We are recruiting an Assistant Manager - Finance to join the Finance & Accounting function of an international bank based in West London. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day financial management, reporting and control of the UK subsidiary, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, management accounts, balance sheet control and audit support, operating within a regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day accounting activities of the UK subsidiary
Prepare daily Management Information (MI)
Monitor Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss movements, identifying and escalating discrepancies
Produce monthly management accounts, including KPI calculation and trend analysis
Perform month-end close procedures and reconciliation of key accounts
Prepare monthly expense analysis and closely monitor cost movements
Prepare accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate expense accounting
Produce quarterly reports for group reporting purposes
Maintain and update transfer pricing (TP) models between branch and subsidiary for shared costs
Reconcile office accounts including sundry, suspense and interest payable/receivable accounts
Assist with statutory and internal audits by providing required information in a timely manner
Support the Deputy Manager and CFO with ad-hoc financial reporting and reconciliation tasks
Confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels, including executive management

Person Specification
Experience working within a mid-sized foreign or international bank
Strong knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) or IFRS, particularly IAS 39 - Financial Instruments
Graduate degree required
Professional accounting qualification preferred: ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent)
