We are seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs within a range of school settings. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to inclusive education and enjoys building positive, trusting relationships with children to help them succeed both academically and emotionally.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to access learning. You will play an important role in helping children develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils with special educational needs on a one-to-one and small-group basis
Encouraging engagement, focus, and positive behaviour in the classroom
Assisting teaching staff with the delivery of adapted lessons and activities
Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and communication needs
Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Who This Role Is For
This position would suit someone who:
Is calm, compassionate, and able to adapt to different learning needs
Enjoys working as part of a wider school team
Has experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN (desirable)
Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (beneficial but not essential)
