The Essentials
Location: Bedford & surrounding areas
Pay: £90 – £110 per day
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM - Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Contract: Full-Time Agency Cover with Permanent opportunities available
The Role: What you’ll be doing as an SEN LSA, you aren’t just a classroom assistant, you are a mentor and a guide. Your day-to-day will involve:
Targeted Support: Providing 1:1 and small group intervention for students with diverse needs.
Overcoming Barriers: Helping pupils manage emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges.
Inclusive Learning: Adapting materials and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure no child is left behind.
Collaboration: Working hand-in-hand with teachers and SENCOs to create a safe, positive environment.
Who We Are Looking For :We need "people people"—those who remain calm under pressure and lead with empathy.
Experience: Previous experience in a school setting and supporting SEN pupils is highly desirable.
Specialist Skills: Team Teach training and SEMH (Mental Health) experience are highly desirable.
Mindset: A dedicated, resilient approach with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations safely.
Compliance: A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
