We Staff Education are working closely with a school in Colchester that is seeking a full-time Supply Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
This school is based in an area of high deprivation and is looking for someone who can bring consistency, patience, and positive energy into the classroom. You’ll be supporting pupils who benefit from strong relationships, clear boundaries, and encouragement — no two days will be the same, and your impact will be felt daily.

Your day-to-day will include:
• Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
• Helping pupils manage emotions and behaviour in a positive way
• Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff
• Being a calm, consistent presence for pupils who need extra support
Who this role is perfect for:
• Experience with SEN or SEMH is beneficial, but not essential
• Confident, resilient, and caring individuals
• Anyone looking to gain or build hands-on SEN experience
• People who genuinely enjoy working with children
Requirements:
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
• Availability to work Monday to Friday
• A positive, proactive attitude
